Why Choose Us

At Q5 95 we are proud of the difference we make.

As you might expect, we often get asked about the name of our business – Q5 95. It flows from our holistic approach to leadership development. It’s a no-brainer that leadership requires much more than IQ.

We call these additional ‘quotients’ the Q-Factors for Success and argue that if those with leadership responsibilities focus on these five areas they will deliver 95% of what is expected of them. Hence, the title of the business.

Here are some of the comments we have received that will give you a flavour of the impact of our interventions.

  • PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
One of the Big Four professional service firms wanted to support partners and directors in building new business, developing trusted client relationships and managing the firm’s talent internally. We were asked to focus on a key aspect of this responsibility, namely the impact of their day to day conversations. We were asked to design and deliver an interactive workshop drawing on recent developments in our understanding of what influences productive human interactions and relationships. To date, over 350 directors and 150 partners have been through the programme over two years.
  • DEVELOPMENT CHARITY
A leading global development charity decided to equip its leaders with the ability to coach their people. We were asked to provide International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited professional coach training through a programme which saw participants calling in on a weekly basis from developing countries all over the world. Described by one participant as having had ‘the most immediate impact of any training I have ever had’, the programme has created fascinating insights into how a coaching approach can contribute to effective leadership across geographical and cultural boundaries.
  • CHEMICALS INDUSTRY
A leading chemicals business was seeking to enhance the impact of its team of operational excellence consultants who faced the challenge of encouraging different areas of the business to embrace new processes and systems to enhance productivity and profitability. Often, lack of progress was demotivating team members. We were asked to create a programme that helped the team deepen its understanding of how to overcome resistance to change, and transform working practices despite constraints on the time team members could spend with their in-house clients. As the leader of the team later commented – ‘I now realize a lasting impact of your effort with our team – it took some time, but increased the level of fun and job satisfaction a lot.’
  • ENGINEERING COMPANY
We were invited by an engineering company to support the skills development of their managers in holding “challenging” conversations with team members, peers and leaders – in particular where behavioural change was required. There was a sense that whilst on technical matters everyone could stand their ground, there was a reluctance to engage at a more behavioural level. We designed and delivered a modular programme designed to appeal to the engineers’ way of thinking – practical, tangible and with a good neuroscientific underpinning, explaining some of the “mechanics” around behaviour. This was hugely successful and has now been running for 4 years covering over 100 managers.
  • GLOBAL CONSUMER PRODUCTS
Our client’s need was to develop the next generation of leaders and get them ready for promotion and ready to pass the necessary assessment centres. The ask was to develop a highly experiential program – delivered in a globally consistent format across Europe, Africa, North and South America, Africa and Asia. We co-created a 10-week program consisting of weekly tele-calls/webinars with groups of 12 people wrapped around the topic of an “Everest Expedition” culminating in a 3-day program. During the program participants learn coaching skills, become clear about their mandate and purpose as leaders and go through an “indoor outdoor training” – a simulation of an Everest Expedition followed by individual coaching conversations. So far we had more than 500 satisfied and inspired participants in the program. ‘The facilitor was able to get us to a point of deep reflection. I never thought that the theme of an Everest Expedition could work. This was the best corporate training program so far.’
  • BIO-PHARMACEUTICAL
Our client asked us to develop their Brand and Go-To-Market Teams to prepare them for the launch of a core product in the portfolio. We have been working with this team of 25+ individuals and their Business Unit Director over 12 months now. We are with them on a journey which includes leadership off-sites, where we orchestrated a “start-up safari” to get them in touch with young and social entrepreneurs, regular team development activities as part of their quarterly strategy meetings and building their awareness on how to become more effective across silos and business areas. The team has been on a real rollercoaster and is now a proud market leader with never expected sales figures and business KPIs. Further to this engagement, other sales teams are now engaging us to help shaping their team effectiveness and their ability to speak with confidence with their highly demanding clientele.

My passion for enabling real change and realising full performance led to founding Q595 as a leadership incubator. My passion is to search for innovative and more effective ways to instill leadership character skills. The approach we have chosen with Q595 is leverage neuroscience and measurement tools to overcome the "immunity to change". My role as co-owner at Q595 is to further drive the field of neurofeedback into leadership programs. As former strategy consultant and line executive I am able to level-set passion with pragmatism in order define solutions that matter.
